My youngest is currently 6 months old, and he's still a bit sensitive, but only if I eat rather large quantities of dairy- like if I chug a tall glass of milk- but a muffin made with sour cream is okay. My oldest outgrew it by 9 months, and my middle child is still dairy sensitive at the age of 3. Anytime I accidentally ate something with dairy in it, I would know because they'd start becoming refluxy again. With my 2 sons, I had the same sensitivity issue, but it resolved immediately as soon as I quit eating dairy. It took me several months before I discovered this with my 1st child, but once I pinpointed that my diet was contributing to her reflux, it stopped completely. I also found that ALL THREE of my children had a sensitivity to cow proteins in my breastmilk. This happened frequently with my 1st child. Like previous poster said- it's possible she could be eating too quickly. Remember to take breaks when you need them and try to find ways to relax and recharge. It's okay to ask for help and support from your partner, family, or friends. It's also important to take care of yourself and find ways to cope with the stress and emotions that come with caring for a baby who is vomiting. Follow your baby's feeding cues and stop the feed when they show signs of being full.Įxperiment with feeding positions: Try feeding your baby in different positions, such as sitting upright or lying on their side, to see if this makes a difference.Ĭheck with your doctor: If the vomiting continues or becomes more frequent, it might be a good idea to check in with your baby's doctor to rule out any underlying health issues. Keep your baby upright: Try to keep your baby upright for at least 20-30 minutes after feeds to help reduce the risk of vomiting.Īvoid overfeeding: Make sure you're not overfeeding your baby, as this can contribute to vomiting. Here are a few things you might try to help reduce the frequency of the vomiting: It can be tough to cope with, especially if it's triggering for you. It sounds like you're going through a tough time with your little one's vomiting. Thank you to everyone who had suggestions! We tried a lot of them! I am dying for some cheese but baby is happy and I smell like a new woman. Update: I cut out dairy and no more vomiting. Of course that also meant Dr wasn’t very helpful in suggestions for stopping this. They were unconcerned since its only 1-2 times a day and baby is gaining weight and otherwise happy and not distraught. Awful.Īnyone had this happen? Did you find anything that helped?Īlso- its very triggering for me and has me in tears/angry- any advice on coping?Įdit: We did check in with her pediatrician yesterday. The last two have been after she slept from 10p-5a then ate. Its usually just undigested breast milk in what seems like huge amounts. I though at first it was bc I had a lot of onions that day but haven’t had any since and it still keeps happening. She used to spit up a lot at once when she was a few weeks old but hasnt done that in a while. Sometimes she gags on something then vomits. Ugh- my 10 week old projectile vomits on me about once a day for the last week or so.
